Not As We Know It is where safe experimentation ends and genuine exploration begins. Each workshop tackles technology from unconventional angles—pushing boundaries, embracing failure, and finding that "bingo" moment when the unfamiliar suddenly clicks. This isn't about following best practices or proven methodologies. It's about dancing with the unknown, seeing what breaks, and discovering what emerges when you approach innovation as creative play rather than controlled process.
The workshops live at the intersection of retro-computing sensibilities and contemporary exploration, where constraints become creative fuel and "might not work" is an invitation rather than a warning.
I’m Mariano and I've spent over two decades navigating the intersection of innovation and creative technology—leading technical teams, teaching at universities, and running Discobingo, my solo studio dedicated to research, development, and consulting. My work spans companies, educational institutions, and artists exploring new forms of digital expression.
What drives me is that moment when unfamiliar territory suddenly makes sense—when you've danced with the unknown long enough that it becomes familiar. Whether it's retro-computing or contemporary platforms, the approach stays the same: critical curiosity, creative courage, and a commitment to ethical exploration.
